March 6, 2009

Today at Durham College, the Honourable Beverley J. Oda, Minister of International Cooperation officially announced the investment of $22.3 million for the new Education for Employment (EFE) program in Africa as well as 12 Canadian College Partnership Program (CCPP) scaling-up projects that began in the spring of 2008.

CCPP Scaling-up Projects

March 6, 2009

Launched in July 2001, Phase II of the Canadian College Partnership Program (CCPP) finished in July 2007. However, CIDA agreed to extend funding while they prepared a response to ACCC's proposal for a new Education for Employment (EFE) program which was submitted in August 2007. The extension ensures programming momentum is maintained.

Within the framework of the extension, ACCC launched the Request for Proposals for Scaling-up Projects in October 2007.  Scaling-up Projects build on the success of CCPP "base projects" that are scheduled to end in March 2008.

Profiles of the 12 approved projects are available from the Projects Section.
